eAR
TRAINING
Ear training is the process of connecting music theory (notes, intervals, chords, scales, melodies, etc.) with the sounds we hear in music. All musicians, beginners and professionals alike, benefit from ear training by being able to recognize notes, keys, and chords in pieces or songs as well as being able to anticipate notes they are about to play. This helps to improve skills with rhythm, chord progression and cadences, singing, intonation, and instrument tuning, to name a few.
sight
reading
Sight reading is an important component of musical education as it teaches the student how to read the notes, melodies, chords, etc. as notated on sheet music. In essence, sight reading can be compared to reading another language! Fluency in sight reading creates a stronger foundation of rhythm and pitch in musicians and builds confidence in musicians as it better prepares them for auditions and exams.

FILIPINO INSTRUMENTS
We offer group Rondalla lessons in addition to in-person one-on-one individual classes for students who are eager to learn traditional Filipino instruments.
Rondalla ensemble lessons include the fundamentals of bandurria, octavina, laud, acoustic and bass guitar playing, and theory.
Instructors teach traditional music and Filipino classics incorporating western and contemporary music to develop a unique type of Asian music style.
